Bay Area Speech Group appreciates that every person is unique. When working with clients, we use a holistic, whole-child approach. We feel that progress is more attainable when we take into account more than just a client's diagnosis. To be more effective, we believe it is important to understand how other factors affect a client.  We focus on social-emotional development, a child's sensory needs, their personal motivations, and interests.  We specialize in pediatrics and have helped people of all ages (toddlers to age 19) from a variety of backgrounds to overcome the challenges that prevent them from communicating effectively.

Some clients come to us because they want assistance helping their little ones to speak. Some seek our services to improve social communication (also referred to as social-cognitive skills) and others contact us to help with auditory processing challenges. Our professional opinions are also sought after when there are concerns about whether a child's educational program is meeting his or her needs. In these circumstances we provide an objective third party opinion and Independent Education Evaluations (IEE). Whatever the reason is that you are seeking help for your child, we are committed to helping him or her maximize their potential.

We want you to feel empowered. And that is why we also provide teaching and training to caregivers and teachers so that the skills learned in sessions can be transferred to real-world applications. Our Speech Pathologists are dedicated to ensuring their clients’ success and are readily available to provide support via email or phone.

Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.
